    We have limited general Rental Assistance funds currently available for residents of Princeton, New Jersey. If you live in Princeton Municipality and need help paying back rent, apply here: (Note: Some Princeton mailing addresses are actually located in West Windsor or other adjoining towns.)

  • SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE

    APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED for all but residents of Princeton. If you live in another Mercer County city or town, please check back after the 1st of next month. 

    Security deposits are paid directly to Landlord. Clients are eligible for this service once every two years. We currently are accepting applications for Princeton residents only.

  • TRANSITIONAL HOUSING

    HIP provides transitional housing to low-income working families and individuals facing homelessness, typically for about 12 to 24 months. We provide clients with a safe home in one of 8 townhomes managed by HIP. The transitional housing program also includes wraparound support services coordinated through a case manager with MSW, LCSW credentials.

    Applications are held on a waiting list and reviewed as units become available.
